Coffee & Conversation – Revere Beach Wonderland

Revere Beach is the oldest public bathing beach in the US. In 1895 the Massachusetts legislature ordered the taking of nearly three miles of private seacoast land on what is now Revere Beach Reservation. It became a destination of amusements with a carnival-themed environment with poplar rides. These amusements plus the arcades where one could win a prize were popular, as was the beach and restaurants along it’s shore.
